Online Therapy in Montana
Life can be incredibly overwhelming.
You find yourself struggling to get yourself out of bed each morning, only to be met with a sense of dread and irritability as you try to move through your day.
Knowing how to juggle life while managing children, a career, aging parents, and day to day social interactions is hard enough, but when you add in struggles with your mental health, it can feel almost impossible.
You are worried that the weight of everything you are carrying will forever have an impact on your life, relationships, and overall happiness.
You long for deep and meaningful relationships.
Your fear of loneliness and rejection encourages you to compromise yourself and your own values and desires.
You want to feel better.
I am Bailee Schnell, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker supporting adults in Montana who are struggling with a sense of overwhelm in their day to day life. Many of my clients are also members of the LGBTQIA+ community, but more so they are high functioning individuals like you who find themselves struggling with persistent symptoms of depression and anxiety without an easily identifiable cause.
I help individuals explore and understand their past relationships and experiences, while also providing some insight on the psychological biology that occurs as a result of these experiences and relationships. We work together to identify and clarify your core values that serve as a guide as we work to challenge problematic thinking patterns, implement boundaries with those around you, and navigate challenging life situations with grace.
I help individuals like you move from a place of uncertainty, self scrutiny, and anxiety, to a place of authenticity, joy, and self acceptance.
A BIT ABOUT ME
I firmly believe you are the expert on you. You know what is working for you, and you know what’s not. I’m not the type of therapist who is going to come in and start instructing you on changes you need to make to improve your life. Rather, my intention is to create and provide the space for us to safely explore the things that are or are not working for you in an intentional an organized way, while also providing educational insight like psychoeducation about the brain on trauma, nervous system regulation, or attachment theory. You are the boss when we are in session, and you lead the way as I support you.
I was born and raised in Wyoming, and have lived in Montana for the past seven years. I have been a passionate foster parent for the past three years, and feel passionate about helping those who have overcome traumatic backgrounds and generational trauma.
Educationally I have my Bachelors of Social Work from the University of Wyoming and my Masters of Social Work from Walla Walla University. I am Licensed in Montana (BBH-LCSW-LIC-52793). I am trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and utilize aspects of narrative therapy, mindfulness therapy, solution focused therapy, in addition to orienting myself in attachment theory and feminist theory.

Yes! Online therapy has been found to be very effective for many individuals, and there are numerous studies that suggest online therapy can be just as effective as in person treatment. One of the most beneficial aspects of online therapy is accessibility to treatment, regardless of where you are. This is particularly beneficial for individuals in rural areas, with physical limitations, or with busy schedules, as it allows you to obtain support from wherever you are.

Fostering Growth uses a third party platform called Therapy Notes to facilitate online therapy. You can call for your free 15 minute consultation or request an appointment here to receive access to our therapy portal. From there, you will be able to access a direct link to your session from the appointments page of your portal account, which will take you to a HIPAA secure video room where we will meet. Therapy Notes may ask for access to your camera and microphone to facilitate the session, and if any issues arise we are always happy to help troubleshoot, as is the support team over at Therapy Notes.
